ALGA MARIS patented red seaweed extract Alga-Gorria® comes from Gelidium sesquipedale, a red seeweed that is specific to the Basque coastline.
To better control the product quality and reduce our carbon footprint, ALGA MARIS sunscreens are Made in France all the way from the research stages to production.
Alga-Gorria® is our exclusive ingredient developed by our research team with proven and optimized antioxidant properties.
It contains 5 times more antioxidants than pure vitamin C and neutralizes the free radicals that attack cells and that are responsible for premature skin ageing.
The active ingredients in all ALGA MARIS sunscreen products are zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, which were the only two ingredients recognized by EWG's 2019 Guide to Sunscreens as safe and effective. As highlighted in the report, zinc oxide performed better than chemical ingredients in the broad spectrum test.
The mineral molecules used in ALGA MARIS sunscreen products are micronized to minimize the whitening effect. It does not contain nanoparticles which, because of their size, could be absorbed by the organism, and accumulate in the dermis, or even enter the bloodstream and have a negative impact on the health.
The formula is perfect for sporting activities and the outdoors, on the beach or in the mountains. It is water and sweat resistant, and will not drip - and irritate - in the eyes. It provides effective protection for all outdoor activities, even in the water. It is not greasy and does not clog the pores. Suitable for everyday use.
Beauty Tips and Usage:
Apply uniformly to face before exposure. Renewed application at least once every two hours for optimal protection.
Shake well before use.
Suggest reapplication after excessive sweating or swimming.
It is recommended to use highest SPF sunscreen (i.e. SPF 50+) for children to protect their delicate skin from the sun's harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays.
All ALGA MARIS sunscreen products can be washed away with regular cleansers.
